Use the following command at the command prompt net user username
/passwordchg:no substituting the user's name for username. I know it woks on XP Pro and should on XP Home. --- Steve "Jonathan" wrote in message ... I have XP Home and I'd like to set up my users to prevent them from changing their passwords. Is this possible? |

Thanks much! That did the trick. Does that setting hold, or is it per boot
session? "Steven L Umbach" wrote: Use the following command at the command prompt net user username /passwordchg:no substituting the user's name for username. Thanks. I saw it referenced in another password post, but I was a bit leery
of using it since there were some disclaimers about using it for XPHome. I'll try it out. Yes the setting stays until you change it. You can use the command net user
username to see info about the user account and the command net accounts to see and manage local password policy. --- Steve "Jonathan" wrote in message ... Thanks much! That did the trick.
