security center unavailable?
Hi, can anyone tell me why when I open the security center it says,
"security center unavailable because the security center has not been started or was stopped." I tried going to resources but it won't let me get into " change the way security center alerts me" and that is where it says to go on the windows web site. Please help, this can't be good!!!!!!

No I don't I have Norton installed on my P.C. Why is McAfee known to do this?

It was just a hunch. When McAfee is installed, it asks if you want the McAfee Security Center to be the default. But I just removed and reinstalled it, it doesn't disable the Security Center or the Security service.

Click Start, Run and enter SERVICES.MSC Locate the Security Center service. It should be set to Started and Automatic. If not, Double click it and change its properties.
