Connectivity problem in voice messaging
After the latest IE warnings, I installed Firefox on my computer. After that
the voice messaging option on my Messenger (4.7) has ceased to function. It tries to connect to my father's and brother's PCs, but times out, so to speak. Text messaging works fine. Is the Firefox installation related? Any other way for me to rectify the problem? |

Connectivity problem in voice messaging
Greetings Panu,
No, FireFox has no dependencies that would affect Messenger. Have you tried using MSN Messenger 7.x instead? The voice protocol has been greatly enhanced since Windows Messenger 4.7: http://messenger.msn.com/download -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger/MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com All posts unless otherwise specified are (c) 2006 Jonathan Kay. Connectivity problem in voice messaging
Thanks for the reply. Changed to MSN M 7.5 but problem persists. Voice
messaging has simply ceased to function for no apparent reason. I'd have a log file (that I don't know how to read myself) that may explain the problem but don't know how to attach it to this reply. It's a bit long to cut & paste. "Jonathan Kay [MVP]" wrote: Greetings Panu, No, FireFox has no dependencies that would affect Messenger. Have you tried using MSN Messenger 7.x instead?
