Default messenger not opening

When I,click messenger program from start menu program not opening did
receive following message "C:\Program Files/Messenger/msmsgs.exe
This application has failed to start because the application
configuration is incorrect.
Reinstalling the application may fix this problem" also I,have attach screen
shot of the same message link which I,did write above if you know for more
explanation http://manra.com/directory/index.1.jpg.Thank you for any help

Excuse me for the screen shot link did added incorrectly lead to page can't
