Video Games keep slowing down
Everytime I start playing a video game the longer the game goes on the
slower my computer becomes. A friend said it may be my video card needs to be replaced, unfortunately my computer has a built-in video card so it cannot be replaced that easily. I was also told that I may have to swap out my motherboard, but I have no idea what that means. Can anyone help me. My computer is an Acer, Aspire T320. Intel Celeron Pentium 4, also Intel 82865G Graphics Controller, total memory 96 MB. current display mode 1024X768 (32bit) (85Hz), main driver-ialmrnt5.dll (6.14.10.4396). For sound-Realtek AC97 Audio, type WDM, driver name ALCXWDM.SYS, version5.10.0000.6090. -- John-Michael |

ewwwww.... lol 96 MB of memory??? no wonder... i recommend upgrading to
atleast 256 or 512 MB... whats happening is that your 96 MB of your memory is being used by the whole computer... including the game... so there is barely any processing power... and it also depends on what game your running... with that integrated video card... but deffinately... DEFFINATELY get some more memory. I think that should help. Dyl "John-Michael" wrote: Everytime I start playing a video game the longer the game goes on the slower my computer becomes. Yes memory seems to be the main culprit here.
Also note that you can still install a better graphics card. Find out if it has an AGP or PCI-Express port and buy that type graphics card. -- Rehan MS MVP -- Digital Media www.rehanfx.org - get transitions and effects for Windows Movie Maker "Dylan" wrote in message ... ewwwww.... lol 96 MB of memory??? no wonder... i recommend upgrading to atleast 256 or 512 MB... whats happening is that your 96 MB of your memory is being used by the whole computer... including the game... so there is barely any processing power... and it also depends on what game your running... with that integrated video card... but deffinately...
