Default Can't view videos

I currently have Windows Media Player 11 installed. When I download movies
from the net, I have sound but no picture. I have been able to view videos
before but don't know what is wrong now.

reinstall your divx or xvid codec

How do I do that?
It does come up with codec required, acquiring codec and codec acquired.
