Line command to undelete last file?
In March 2007 Jim wrote the following:
The scenario is this.... I am in XP and delete a file. Perhaps I do it in an application similar to Win Exlorer such as Acdsee. CTRL+Z fails to work. ONLY files "deleted" from Windows Explorer and sent to the Recycle bin may be "restored/undeleted" with Windows features. Any other way you delete a file is unrecoverable by Windows commands, command line or otherwise. You MUST use a 3rd party software to recover them. Bob, I can see I have not been clear! What I should have said is this: Is there a line command in XP which can be issued and which would restore the last file that got put in the recycle bin? |

Nope, you need to Open the Bin and Sort by "date deleted" in Details view to find it. |
