Adobe- Reader

My Adobe reader does not function- I attempted to load 8.0 or reload 7.0and
It loads partially and I receive a message error-1714 older version of Adobe
reader 7.09 cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group.

I attempt to remove the current 7.0 and I receive a message: The patch could
not be opened, Verify that the patch exsists and that you can access it. or
contact the applications vendor to verify this is a windows installer patch
pkg. Help

John, I would go to C:\Program Files\Adobe Delete the Folder.
Then go to StartRun type: regedit Click Ok
and Navigate to HKey_Current_User\Software\Adobe Delete that folder
as well as the one in Hkey_Local_Machine\Software. Then try
reinstalling. I use version 6. Much less Bloat.
