Default Black Screen After Windows Loading Screen

Recently I got a Texas Instruments 84 Plus graphing calculator and decided to
hook it up to my PC in order to get some programs. Well, once it was hooked
up I decided to go into My Computer to try and access it. I saw something
named 'Removable Disk' and figured that was it, so I double clicked it. My
Computer proceeded to freeze, and after awhile I decided to hard boot my
machine.

Well when I restarted it I got past the Windows XP loading screen only to be
faced with a black screen. It stayed this way for about a few seconds before
the Windows XP welcome screen came up, allowing me to login. Now everytime I
reboot my computer the same thing happens. What is wrong and how do I fix
this?
