Building A New Live Streaming Server Setup
I work for an arts academy in South Florida and we are looking to build a
live streaming service for webcasting our concerts. We are looking to provide support for up to roughly 5000-10000 concurrent streams at bitrates of 100kbps-500kbps. If anyone has an idea of what kind of hardware (number/type of servers) that would support this kind of load, please let me know. We have already acquired an ingest station, now we just need server specific guidance. |

I'm talking about unicast, point to point support for thousands of users and
what kind of hardware (CPU/RAM/#of physical Media Servers) is required to do this. "Mark L.
