i do put my name, i do ask a question,i do take heed constructive
advise i am given or i would not come back on,i am not on here for english lessons,or insults, i am not interested in your views about how i write,"quote" No-one's insulting you beyond calling your behaviour "childish". You're the one calling people weird. You're not getting English lessons, you're getting "constructive advise" (sc: "advice") on participation in this newsgroup community. You would do well to heed it. In the post I responded to I make it a total of approximately 18 spelling and grammar mistakes in a mere 5 lines. Multiply this by the number of posts that you make per thread and the number of new threads you raise, and we soon get a huge number of mistakes that no-one here has time to address with English lessons. We want to try to help with technical issues - when we can understand them comparatively easily. So, to yours: Your screensaver keeps kicking in too soon - after twenty minutes instead of the 5 hours or "till i close" that you state. Which do you want? You state you have "set everything to go down after 5 hours". Please detail what you mean by "everything". Did it include the settings Og referred to in his reply to your first post? Does the same happen with a different screensaver? Is it that an actual screensaver starts up or does your monitor go blank? If the latter, you should look at your Power Options in Control Panel. |

I'm sorry, but it still isn't at all clear what you're trying to say or ask. Is English a second or third language for you? If so, may I suggest that you try posting your question in a news group dedicated to your native language? I say this not to insult or offend, but rather to point out that you're not likely to get much help, if no one can understand what you're asking. Otherwise, I'd suggest you start by reposting in standard English, complete with paragraphs, complete sentences, capital letters where appropriate, and punctuation. As it is, your post is quite undecipherable: some of the words used are from the English language, but are completely meaningless as currently assembled. Help us help you: http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html Also, please unstick your CapsLock key. Posting in all caps, as you have done, is the Usenet equivalent of shouting, and is considered very rude by a large number of people. More importantly, posting in all caps makes the post harder to read, further reducing your chances of getting help; a great many people won't even try to read such a message. If you really want help, simply comply with the dictates of common courtesy and the conventions of the venue. -- Bruce Chambers Help us help you: http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. ~Benjamin Franklin Many people would rather die than think; in fact, most do. ~Bertrand Russell The philosopher has never killed any priests, whereas the priest has killed a great many philosophers. ~ Denis Diderot |

The reason for your attitude is beyond my understanding. You have escalated from poorly-formed requests for help, through semi-incomprehensible rambling and insults, to threats. *That* is not "what this site is about". If this is how you talk to people in "real life", then good luck with it - you'll need it. Please go ahead with your "uninstalling". It is unclear what that means, exactly; but if the result is that we won't see this behaviour again, then so much the better. You've already been pointed to other sources of help: basic PC courses at a local college; "the manual" (that came with whatever it is that's gone wrong or that you can't work); Wikipedia; and Google, which last one you really would do well to become familiar with, and not just for fixing PC problems. I would end with a *plonk* (http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en...Search&me ta=) but would quite like to see if there's any improvement in your manners and style if you should post back. |
