Default shutting dowm the PC

When I shutdown my PC, i get an error that a program called NSCSERVICE cannot
shutdown.

I know this is a file from Norton.

What can I do to get rit off this message?

It's a veryu irritating thing!

You could use gpedit.msc to institute a logoff script.
It could be a batch file with a command like 'taskkill nscservice'
This is available in Pro editions only.
There are also scripting commands to do the same thing.

Boy! What a find!!! Why doesn't MS put this one into the KB on XP Shutdown
Problems? This one did the trick for providing a proper shutdown. Big PLUS
= IE7 immediately started working again! Probably the stuck corrupted and
rotted profile.

Great Util. Goes in the toolkit.
