Acer Monitor AF715 screen size problem

Since reinstalling XP Home with SP3 my screen seems to have 'stretched' so I
cannot see/use the Minimise/Close boxes in top RH corner.
The monitor has a button to display a Menu with about 16 functions, operated
by the arrow keys. However, I cannot get the Menu to respond to my arrow
keys.
I have reinstalled the monitor, read the manual, downloaded alleged AF715
drivers, but nothing works.
Any ideas greatly appreciated,
