I have a preinstalled XP Home, om the PC. On this i have tre themes, Aqarius,
Space, and Nature.
Now, i have to clean up the PC, and this theme will dissapear. (Tried it on
another PC 3 month ago)
Now i have tried to copy the themefiles to a dongle, and installe them again
on the clean PC. But i won't work.
"Make sure it installed correct" the line says. (In danish)
Do i need to install somthin other than XP to get this running again??

What you need is XP Plus. It's a separate CD with the Themes, Games etc.

Oh, it's out the

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Microsoft-Plus...d=p3286.c0.m14

and other places, if you know where to look.......

But you might want to research the XP Plus Pack to check that it offers at
least everything that you want. I don't offhand recall the Aquarius theme
being on it, for example. I'm not sure it's the solution - Google around for
these themes and check that they *are* what you're after. There could just
be free downloads somewhere!

You need to copy the theme files too:

C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes

ju.c

I used to use a theme manager that would allow you to save themes. Its
not quite what you are looking for, as its not a theme itself. But if
you activate the Aquarius theme and then use theme manager to save it,
you can then reload it later. Or at least this is my recollection.
I don't use it anymore but when themes were a novelty to me, I did a lot
of this in my early years of XP etc. Google 'theme manager'.

The theme manager I remember used to save all desktop icons, cursors,
sounds, screen saver, and desktop wallpaper to a setup file. It would
then allow you to restore that config. As you can see its not an
install but a config file.
