How to perform defragment on all drives?
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to perform defragement on all drives
for XP at once? When I perform defragment on HDD, I need to do it one by one. I don't want to wait for current one finished before starting another. If I can perform only once, so it will perform defragment on all drives, then I will be happy on doing something else and don't need to watch and wait all night long. Does anyone have any suggestion? Thanks in advance for any suggestions Eric |

How to perform defragment on all drives?
Hi Eric, http://en.kioskea.net/faq/sujet-284-...your-hard-disk The steps are there. You just basically need to perform it from the command prompt. But please, do not do anything else while defragmenting. hope this helps, "Eric" wrote: Does anyone have any suggestions on how to perform defragement on all drives for XP at once? Thanks in advance for any suggestions Eric Hi Eric, Try jkDefrag. It defaults to defragging all drives, no configuration necessary. Put a shortcut on your Desktop and dbl-click it to defrag all the drives. Quicker and more efficient than the scaled back Defrag. http://kessels.nl/JkDefrag/index.html -- Terry R. ***Reply Note*** Anti-spam measures are included in my email address. I don't use it myself because it's a PITA to set it so that it does NOT defrag all drives (I actually didn't even try). Besides, I've long-since added Diskeeper to my stable of utilities. |

How to perform defragment on all drives?
FWIW, I use Diskeeper 2009 Professional, as mentioned in the other defrag thread, and it defrags all the drives (atleast, all three of mine) in the background simultaneously and automatically. Resource utilization is negligible, so you don't notice it running. It was not free, I had to buy a single user license, but you can download the free trial versions from the Diskeeper website. BTW, defragging two volumes simultaneously on the same physical disk is not such a good idea. Defragging two or more volumes located on different physical disks makes perfect sense.
