XP Pro Refusing Validation
I have loaded a first-use OEM version of XP Pro SP3 onto my iMac using Boot
Camp 2.0. When installation completed Windows confirmed that the software had been validated. I then loaded the Boot Camp drivers as instructed, then ran Windows Update to install the outstanding updates (48 of them). Since then, XP keeps telling me that my software is invalid because the Product Key was not issued by Microsoft. How can I fix this? -- Lewis Tasmania, Australia |

You may need to use the telephone option and speak to a human. You probably installed drivers from Windows Update (always a mistake) and the validation thinks you have a new system.
