Memory Parity Error BSOD
I added a PCI soundcard to my system that already had an onboard
soundcard and an additional USB soundcard. I wanted two soundcards, and was having problems with the USB one. The instructions were adamant that I should disable the onboard soundcard, but then I'd still have just one soundcard, so I ignored this. Partway through the boot I got a "Memory Parity Error" BSOD. So I took the PCI soundcard back out, and am still fiddling with the USB soundcard. I'm curious, though. How would a soundcard (or its drivers) cause a memory parity error? -- Steve Swift http://www.swiftys.org.uk/swifty.html http://www.ringers.org.uk |
