How to configure two different mice on one computer for the same pointer speed
I have two different USB mice connected to my computer. One is a wireless mouse and the other is a wired optical mouse.
They have different sensitivities which make it difficult to switch between the two without going into the mouse priorities and adjusting the pointer speed. I am using the default Win XP SP3 mouse driver for both. I have not loaded any other mouse drivers. My question is, can I adjust each mouse pointer speed independently so I can switch between them without any difference in feel? Thanks Tony |

Thanks Tony -------------------------- I gotta ask, why two mice on the same machine? I'm not too sure you'll ever be able to get both of them the same without digging deep into the registry and making speed or acceleration settings there. If the two mice are from the same manufacturer, I think you'll run into the same problem, even if you use their software. For example, if they're MS mice, it will probably only load one instance of Intellipoint. Good luck! Maybe someone here will have a suggestion, but I'm at a loss. SC Tom |

SC Tom I use the wireless mouse for web surfing and everyday computer tasks. It is a Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 2.0. I like the back button and also like the fact it is wireless. The wired mouse came with the laptop, and is an HP branded optical mouse. I use that one for the schematic capture program I use for work. It has a better wheel button than the wireless mouse, which I need for the schematic capture program. Tony |

You could possibly run the Intellipoint software for the MS mouse and Logitech's SetPoint software and see if you can synch the two. SC Tom |
