Default Correct resolution isn't offered

One of the systems has some generic monitor named X2Gen model MW19u.
XP only sees it as a generic monitor. Don't have any driver. Company
is out of business. I saw one old web page that claimed it's native
res is 1440 x 900. It is a wide screen. The resolutions that XP/Nvidia
offer don't include any in the 1440 x X range. It will go up to 1920 x
1200 and display it. The next step up 1920 x 1440 is out of range.
None of the resolutions make fonts look right, like none are the
native res. Are there other generic drivers, or some way to get at
resolutions not currently offered?

Thanks

I just found how to add a custom resolution in the Nvidia control, and
the 1440 x 900 worked.
