Default CPU test Error

I have a HP Pavilion with XP Home Edition that is approx. 5 years old. It
has been running slower than usual & having a problem with one particular
program hanging up (new game). I ran a CPU test as part of the diagnostic
tests included with the pc & get an error: Exception in DisplayRunMap.runMap:

Does anyone have any ideas what is wrong or what to do?

The error can be related to your Net and or IE7 installation amongst others.

If that's true, what do I need to do? I have since found out that I get the
same message when I try running any of the HP Pavillion Hardware tests, so it
seems to be a bigger problem than I thought.

update your net software, and get the latest version, and yes you may need
various versions, not just the latest.

have you connected to microsoft windows update, to ensure your system is
upto date with patches and security software?

I am having the same issue. Not sure when it started. There was a net
update in 2/08 which I did install. Any other possible problems that could
cause this error or any other fix to try?

No, have not had a reply and therefore no resolution to the problem yet.
Hopefully someone will have a solution and respond.

http://www.certforums.co.uk/forums/thread1785.html

"Exception in DisplayRunMap.runMap: File or assembly name
pchealthplugin, or one of its dependencies, was not found."

So you'd be looking for an updated piece of software from hp.com .

Maybe the name of the updated software, would have something to do with -

" HP Help and Support Center Update" ?

Please mention the full make and model number information for your computer,
to give responders more information to go on. For example, these machine
are almost the same, so you'd want to give as much info as possible
in this format.
