Yes, that's a good idea. As I don't know how
critical the materials on there are.

Now I am running 2004 19041.388. The unformatted partition (MSR) is
restored from a backup 3-4 hours old, so there should be no problem.
The Recovery partition is restored from a version from october 2019.
Can't do any better, but probably will not give trouble as it seems to
be working. Working means that now I see the menues under Windows
Restore.

You saved me a real lot of work, reinstalling Windows and all the
stuff and programs I have on this PC. Last time it took maybe a month
before every bit was in place. You are the backbone of
alt.comp.os.windows-10.
