Default Alphabetical order of file names

Since a while I get unordered file lists, when I open a
directory in any program. Where can I tell windows to
open file directories always only in alphabetical order?
Thank you! Ernst

Hi Ernst,

Set the order the way you want it and then choose from the menu: Tools
Folder Options View Apply to All Folders.

Hi Ernst,

Go to Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/View/Reset all folders, then
reset them. If that doesn't help:

Right-click Start, click Explore, and then click drive C. On the View menu,
click Details.

Click the Name column to sort items by name then quit Windows Explorer by
clicking File/Close.
