XP Printer Problem with Office 2000
I have recently purchased new PC's with Windows XP Pro.
I setup these PC's on my existing network. I have applied ALL available service packs for XP. I am using Office 2000 on these machines. I have also applied ALL of the Office 2000 updates on these machines. When I open an existing WORD or EXCEL document that was created on my old PC and try to print it, it has the wrong orientation or it prints very small. EXCEL sheets that were printing OK on the old PC will no longer print correctly. When I try to change the print settings, it sometimes will work. Other Users on my network that do NOT have XP Pro are also having printer problems since I started using my new PC. Is Windows XP responsible for this problem?? When I try to help my co-workers on their old PC, I cannot get it to print correctly. What has XP done to my printers?? Any ideas? Also, printing envelopes from WORD is also printing wrong for both me and my co-workers. Thanks, ALAN |

XP usually has a generic driver that enables some basic printing functions but ususally you have to go to the printer's web site and get an XP compatible driver to obtain full functioning Eric Booth |
