cant uninstall windows messenger

Default cant uninstall windows messenger

I have deleted windows messenger from my controll pannel,
but the icon is still there and the messenger keeps
opening up when the internet is turned on. Msn wont let
me log on anymore either, im not sure if its a related
problem though. please help me

following page tells you how to remove Windows Messenger:

do you mean msn.com? Both use the .NET Passport Service
to provide logon services. Have you already tried to sign in
with your Passport on http://www.passport.com/. Did it
work?

oh this was the best information, is there a way to remove
other programs i dont use such as moviemaker and gaming
zone etc, this way as well??

Possibly. But I'm not aware of any details, unfortunately.
But there are also newsgroups for MovieMaker and Gaming
Zone.
