Default how to get really large fonts for only one user

With all the tuner cards and video editing out there, I
doubt I am alone in what I want to do: all setup with
ATI video card, tuner and wonder remote, as well as a
large hard drive - all to replace my "antique" VCR.
Great success except when I want to select a show from
the TV (upstairs above the PC), can barely read the
listings in explorer or ATI's library. So I thought I'd
simply setup a special user account for watching with
fonts at 200%. Surprise, surprise - that setting applied
to both TV and monitor AND applied to all users, which
was obviously useless. Anybody have a better suggestion?
