HP L7680 All In One problems
I have been told by HP Technical Support that all of the problems I have been
experiencing are due to Windows XP updates. If this is correct then possibly you have some patches/solutions for my issues. 1. After loading the HP software, windows will not shut down or restart without a hard reboot. 2.When I try to utilize the HP Solution Center software to connect to my L7680, it tells me it can not find any HP devices to connect to (I currently have 2 ; 1-OJ6110xi & the L7680) 3.If I uninstall and reinstall their software it will not completely remove the previously installed version and then it will not completey install the new software. 4. If I try to connect the printer directly to the network the HP software can not locate my printer even though I can use my Browser to go to the IP address just fine. While I find it difficult to believe that these are MS Windows XP problems, HP insists that your Security patches or SP2 are the culprit and I need to address the problem directly with you for a fix. Can you help? |

I'd say the primary fault here lies with the HP software that will not
uninstall correctly. Ask HP for an uninstall utility, because you are not going to get anything working correctly until their software is totally removed, and there is no reason why you should have to do a format and total reinstall just because their software is not compliant. -- Cari (MS-MVP) Printing & Imaging www.coribright.com/windows "golfer1" wrote in message ... HP L7680 All In One problems
I have used their "OJProL7X00_scrubber_8" software removal tool,
unfortunately it is not very effective. When I try to discuss this with the HP technical support they don't have a solution other than to tell me it is a problem with the Windows Security patches.
