Default bart's pe use?

hi

had troj "spy-agent. bw" on my work system, and after googling I deleted 2
registry entries that caused my sytem to stop at the welcome screen. So I
D/L the latest ver of Bart's PE and installed it on my wifes machine and as
instructed inserted my retail winxp pro sp2 cd in one opt drive and a CD/RW
in t'other.
I did get a warning after the burn, about OEM being trouble, or words to
that effect. But I supposed it meant that my wifes machine had an OEM
OSystem installed, and didn't think much of it, as it made the bart pe cd
up, from my retail OS disc!
Anyhow I booted my machine up with said disc, but when I was about to add
"MyXPHive" It wasn't having it.

Do I need to make a Bart's PE bootable disc, on a system running a retail
ver of winxp pro sp2 on, to have it work fully on my work system?
