Default What is "Apple Software Updates"

A new program in my Control Panel/Add Remove Programs ....?

Etc...

When you install an Apple product - like one of the above - you might get
the Apple Software Updates module installed that keeps the Apple program..
updated.

I found that with Safari , which I wasn`t keen on , so uninstalled the
lot and used Agent Ransack as well .

Default What is "Apple Software Updates"

Oh oh, I deleted it - I installed Quick Time

How badly is QT needed????

I rarely go to video sites, and only use WMP v 9 ...

Just like everything on your computer - how much something is *needed* is a
personal question.

I almost always do not install (custom install) or uninstall the Apple
Software Updater when I see it on _my_ machines. I choose to update things
manually.

I almost always install Quicktime, Real Alternative, Flash and Shockwave on
all computers I service because they are free and many web pages people
frequent use one or more of those plugins at some point.

As for your needs - I cannot say. ;-)
