Then a limited user can't delete or rename it. Users can move whatever they like, though. I would stick with autoarrange. |

Place the shortcut in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop folder.

Yes, but if you have XP pro you can do this through the GPO policy. Open run and type in: gpedit.msc click [OK] and under the Administrator Templates assign whichever action/GPO you want for users on the machine. If you cann't do that please let us know with more info about your machine and the environement where the machine reside! You can very easily paint yourself into a corner. And AFAIK there's no GPO that controls what users can do on *their* desktops to this degree. |
