Keyboard mis-mapping at Domain login
XP Pro - SP2
Dell Optiplex GX260 Plain Jane PS2 Dell keyboard. Active Directory 2003 Standard 101/102-key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 keyboard driver Provided by Microsoft, date=7/1/2001. Version 5.1.2600.1106 When logging into my PC or unlocking my PC (Same dialoge box) My keys seem to be re-mapped. Not every key, just enough to be really annoying. After I've logged in, I no longer have the problem. All the keys work great. The problem is solved by rebooting the computer. It will go away for days, weeks, months until something triggers the issue again. I run tons of programs (Outlook, Notes, iTunes, Paint Shop Pro, ADUC, Exchange Admin, MS Explorer, Internet Explorer, Process Explorer, LDAP Browser, MS-Dos, and Visual Studio 2005 right now). Rebooting is a 20 minute effort. I'd love to know if there's a way to reset the keyboard without rebooting. |
