Hello all.
All of a sudden, the listing of recently used programs (in the Start menu,
right above All Programs) disappeared. I now have a large blank space
between All Programs and the top of the Start box, and it isn't adding any
programs any more. I don't know what I, or some malicious program did to
remove that listing, but I'd like to get it back. Is there some Register Key
I can change to repair this? Or some other way?
Many thanks.

Right click the Start Button/Properties/Customize/Advanced

Under Programs pick a number then ok your way out.

Kelly;
Many thanks. One note. It's under General settings, not Advanced (at least
on my computer).

As a matter of interest I looked at this and found there were still some
pointers to AVG, which I no longer use. Please can you tell me how to get
rid of them. There doesn't seem to be a delete optiopn there, only
hide/show.
