Enable Alerter?
Many years experience with a Mac, but new to Windows XP, which I am
using on my MacBook running VMWare Fusion 2.0.1 I found my way to Computer Management and as I began exploring there, I found that under Services that Alerter was by default Disabled. It notes that Alerter notifies selected users and computers of administrative alerts and would *seem* to be a useful thing to have enabled? Am I wrong? Would wiser head say leave it disabled or enable it? Many thanks, Carl |

The Alerter service relies the Messenger service to transmits alerts, for security reasons these services should be disabled. John |
