Can't Access LAN Folders
I'm running two XP Pro computers on a LAN. Remote Desktop works between both
systems. When I use My Network Places to view either of my LAN computers, I can only access the Shares Folders but nothing else, including My Documents - it's telling me I don't have permissions. What I'm I not doing? I did use the Small Home or Office Network wizard several times. Help please. Jim |

Can't Access LAN Folders
I made the change you suggested - both computers now have the same username.
Using Windows Explorer, I can now access all folders on my LAN computer but I still cannot copy a file from one computer to the other, says I don't have permissions!! File sharing is on. Removed firewall still have problen. Suggestions please. Jim "Robert L. (MS-MVP)" wrote in message ... You may want to create the same username on both computers. Or this search result may help. Make sure you also assign permission in Security tab.
