Does it open from StartAll ProgramsInternet Explorer. If yes try going
to C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplorer.exe. rt click on file and
choose Send to desktop as shortcut.
Your original Desktop Shortcut may be corrupt.

Is there an Event Viewer Error report?

Have a look in the System and Application logs in Event Viewer for
Errors and Warnings and post copies here. Don't post any more than 48
hours ago.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel,
Administrative Tools, and Event Viewer. When researching the meaning
of the error, information regarding Event ID, Source and Description
are important.

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Right click on the Report in
the list and select Properties. In the window, which appears are three
buttons towards the top right of the window. The top one has an arrow
up, underneath is an arrow down and third is a button resembling two
pages. Click the button and close Event Viewer. It is not obvious but
this action places a copy of the report in your Clipboard. Now start
your message (email) and do a paste into the body of the message. Make
sure this is the first paste after exiting from Event Viewer.

Hope this helps.

Hello,

Try running IE7 with add-ons disabled.

Go to Start Programs Accessories System Tools Internet Explorer (No
Add-ons) to start IE7 without any add-ons. Try using the browser and see if
the same problem arises.

If the problem does not occur again, start IE7 normally, go to Tools (if the
menu bar does not appear, hit the Alt key on the keyboard) Manage Add-ons.
Disable all the add-ons and restart IE7. Enable each add-on
one at each time and see if the problem occurs again. Once it occurs again
after enabling an add-on, you have nailed the culprit.

If you are not even able to start IE7 normally, go to Start Control Panel
Internet Options Programs, Manage add-ons and you can disable all the

add-ons manually there.
