FAX COMPLETELY MISSING
Toshiba Pilot, SP3, XP Pro.
I hadn't used the fax in a few months and when I tried, error message of "could not connect to the fax server"... I deleted the fax from the printer options thinking it would re-install itself. No. It did not come back. So I have re-downloaded and re-=installed SP3 4 or 5 times. When I try to set up the fax it reports it can't "find" the list of fx---.dll's I've tried to look for them in the i386 file. I've decompressed them from the SP storage. Now the message is telling me to re-load from the XP disc, which is in another location. Anything I can do? what caused it? |

So which part of it did you try? If you had applied SP's after the initial
installation but before you tried the reinstallation your problem could be this one: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=884018 - You cannot add a Windows component in Windows XP -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "WILDMAN2FL" wrote in message ... i HAD ACTUALLY READ THAT AND TRIED IT.
