Question adding fraphics card on old pc

i have an compaq presario SR 1530IL pc with 256 MB of RAM and onboard graphics chip of probably 128 MB
could i add some graphics card to it?

what is the difference between a PCI & a PCI-E slot?
which one does my PC have?

Are there any graphics cards that can be plugged in through USB?

Last question - probably - but not worth it - especially on that machine.

Read your manual:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/m...1139&l ang=en

Read your Product Specs:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...oduct=5011 39

Specifically your motherboard specs:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...product=501139

(Hint: Expansion Slots)

This is not a Windows XP issue. ;-)

You'll probably be better off re-posting your questions to the Hardware
group, or even casting your net wider and asking in a general hardware
group/forum as what you're asking is non-specific to the XP operating
system.
