Received fax files are .TIF graphics files. I believe you should be able to
open them in a graphics editor (paint) program that accepts .TIF files, edit
them, and print the modified images to the fax printer from the graphics
editor.

You will need optical character recognition software to change a
graphical fax document to an editable word processor document.
Alternatively, you can print out the fax and fill it in by hand or
typewriter. You would then need scanning software and a scanner to
get the hard copy back into the computer to send out by fax. The
person on the other end would have the same problem with a graphical
file as you do.

Bear in mind that you cannot use the fax console to select a
document for faxing. You must use an external program which can
open the document to send it to the fax as a print job.
