Default LPT1 EPP?

I have and IBM Ideascan 0275-011 lpt1 passthrough scanner. It apparently
works, however slow, and suggests I install an EPP port for faster
operation. I had one in Win 98SE, but I don't know how to accomplish this
in XP professional? I cannot find EPP Lpt in Add Hardware or change the
properties in Device Manager for the current Lpt1 designation.

Thanks,
Steve

The EPP functionality is automatically detected by either Win98 or WinXP. To
enable it, you have to do this from BIOS setup.
