I can't delete a printer
I'm new to XP however in the past I just right mouse
clicked the printer and deleted! When I try this in Windows XP as well as highlighting (delete printer) in the task bar the printer remains, when it is highlighted the little window says (status deleting, documents: 1) Help it's driving me nuts. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You, Clay |

I also am new to XP and would like an anser to this question. How do you delete a printer? Why, beause he no longer needs the printer ans wants to clean up his system. Thanks, Val |

I can't delete a printer
Clay ... the following is 'lifted' from our newsgroup printer maven, Cori
Bright ... at www.coribright.com and credit is due to her. 1. Disconnect the printer from the PC 2. Go to the Control Panel and click on Add/Remove Programs. Highlight any Printer Software that is listed here. Select Remove. 3. From the Control Panel, click on Printers & Faxes. Right click the printer in question and select Delete 4. Look at the Toolbar. Select File, then Server Properties. Look in the Drivers tab. Highlight the printers drivers listed here and click on Remove for each one. 5. Reboot the PC. Do NOT reconnect the printer! -- HTH ... Fred "Chaos reigns within. Reflect, repent, and reboot. Order shall return." Clay wrote: I'm new to XP however in the past I just right mouse clicked the printer and deleted!
