Default Application Sharing

Hi Jonathan-

I posted yesterday, but perhaps I was not specific enough with my problem.
I am trying to utilize the application sharing within messenger. I am
having no luck with this, but am able to use the Remote Assistance
functionality.

When I select Application Sharing and the user I'd like to share with, the
Sharing Session box opens with the three options of App Sharing, Whiteboard,
and Close with Connected in the lower left of the box. I then select App
Sharing which opens a new window that's called Sharing. This is where you
select which program you'd like to share. In the header of this window,
next to Sharing it has "- Not in a call". Further all of the applications
are grayed out. The only options for this window is Share in True Color and
Close.

The two computers that I'm working on are XP Pro and XP Home on the same
network, behind a Linksys BEFW11S4 router. I have UPnP enabled on the
router. I tried using just Windows Messenger 5.0, but decided to add MSN
Messenger 6.1 incase there were any added features (and there are, just not
the one I'm needing). Based on my reading within this newsgroup and
Microsoft support site, it looks like this feature is using the Windows
Messenger backbone so MSN Messenger would have no effect.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
-Rob.
