Default Adding Win95 Client to network

I'm trying to add an old PC running Windows 95 (client2)
to our home network. The server is running Windows XP
Home Edition, the original client (client1) is running
Windows 95 and works fine, but has all the updates. We
are using Linksys cards through a hub and the original
two PC's (Server and client1) are working fine. I can
not get the Linksys HPN100 to work on the new PC (an old
486 IBM server-client2). I know the card works because
I've tested it in client1. I think we need to assign a
TCP/IP address to the new client2, but I don't know what
address to use, or if that is even what is wrong. When I
go into the properties of the Network, the configurations
are different between client1 and client2. Any
suggestions besides throwing it out the window?
