Default Computer will not print

To make a long storey short, my newer Gateway Computer
(16 months old) with Windows XP Home Edition will not
print. I've tried 3 different printers with 3 different
cables and nothing works. It says it's trying to print
offline but according to the properties it is not
offline. I try to print again and nothing is in the
status area of properties when previously it stated that
it was printing offline. Gateway support says I need to
re-install Windows. I can't find my Windows XP CD.
Gateway says since my warranty has expired I would have
to buy another. Yea right I said. Will Microsoft send me
another if I already have mine registered with them? How
do I get in contact with them?.....Thanks for any
help.

Nope. MS does not, will not and cannot assist with OEM supplied media. As
you're out of warranty your only choice is to purchase Windows again.

How do I get in contact with them?

You don't. They won't help you. See above.

Thanks for any help.

You're welcome

Do you have the XP driver for your printer installed and if you did was it
installed before the printer was connected?
