Yes, of course -
http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;835732 You need to run Windows Update & get this & all critical updates. Run that regularly. Enable your firewall. Run good, updated AV software. Etc etc etc. alan wrote: has anyone come across this XP KB835732? |

Lanwench points out that a genuine 835732 exists, but we can't tell you whether the "835732" you have is that update or some malware that happens to use the same name as a way of getting you to run it. If your "835732" arrived as an email attachment, or via IM, or via peer-to-peer file sharing, or you downloaded it from a site other than Microsoft's, then it's most likely to be malware. -------------------- ----- ---- --- -- - - - - Tip Of The Day: To disable the 'Tip of the Day' feature... -------------------- ----- ---- --- -- - - - - |

True, dat - hence my inclusion of the link to the KB article itself. :-) If your "835732" arrived as an email attachment, or via IM, or via peer-to-peer file sharing, or you downloaded it from a site other than Microsoft's, then it's most likely to be malware. Definitely! -------------------- ----- ---- --- -- - - - - Tip Of The Day: To disable the 'Tip of the Day' feature... -------------------- ----- ---- --- -- - - - - |
