Peer to Peer on XP Professional
When going Add/Remove and selecting Networking Components, I have noticed
that Peer to Peer option is not checked although it shows 0kb required to be installed. I have 2 PCs connected thru Ethernet and plugged into older Linkseys hub running XP Professional and XP Home on PC2--sharing internet connection thru 56k dialup modem. I did run the Network Setup Wizard, but only after I tried manually setting up the network. Do I need to check the Peer to Peer option on both PCs and let this install? Why would it show 0kb required if the option is not already installed & why would it not be checked if it is installed? I did assign IP addresses manually since I could not get auto DHCP to work. |
