Default Dial-up Connections Dialog Box Pops Up

Whenever I turn on my computer, a dial-up connections dialog box appears
asking me to connect to my ISP. I have Windows XP home edition. I have a
dial-up connection to a local service provider. After this ISP's software
was installed is when the box started to pop up. I close the window or
cancel it, and it pops up again a few minutes later. It pops up even when I
don't connect to my ISP. How can I disable this popup box?

go to startrun and enter

inetcpl.cpl

then select the "Connections" tab, then select "never dial a connection",
