HELP
Brian,
A good way to discard unwanted files id to use Cleanup! (available as a free download). even though it does ignore some (very few) files, it does a much better job than Disk Cleanup (on Windows Explorer). Next uninstall unwanted applications (but be very careful). Next stop unwanted applications running in the background. Next defragment the hard disk drive This will give your computer a chance at running as fast as possible. HELP
Brian.
If you carry out the four steps in my pervious post (see below) you will have a computer running as fast as possible. BTW it's marginally advantageous to do a cleanup / defrag before scanning for spyware / virus threats if only because it will have less to do and everything will be together and, therefore, it wont take quite so long. If you want a step by step howto please come back. Regards.
