Windows XP SP2 Do I need it
I assume you at least have SP1 because support through Windows Update has
ceased for no SP versions of XP. That said, yes you need SP2 just like any other XP user. It's more safe and secure, it works better and faster, supports more features and, in fact, has had several updates since first release. If you haven't got SP1, don't npther with that, SP2 includes all updates from day 1. To prepare for it check he http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/sp2/default.mspx Basically make sure you are free of spyware and viruses and that your drivers are up to date. Depending on your connection speed you can opt for download or a free CD. -- Peter. Toronto, Canada. Windows XP Home SP2. P4 dual HT @ 3.0ghz, 160gb HD, 1.0gb DDR. "Moprem" wrote in message ...
