Default Showing as offline to others when im online

I have had a very annoying problem for weeks...if i pause for a moment while
im online and then come back..the person Im chatting with sees me as offline,
totally randomly..I have to constantly restart MSN...I have seen this problem
in earlier posts but have not seen a fix.

Running XP professional here...
