RDP Video Issue
Sometimes after I establish an RDP connection to my work computer via a
home VPN connection I have problems locally. When I arrive at office the next day and move the mouse to clear the black screen (screen saver set to Blank) I get one of the following: 1. No clearing of the screen saver. 2. 640X480 resolution & lowest color depth with sides of taskbar and desktop cut off. For number 1 I have to press the power button to trigger a system shutdown and turn the machine back on to get video again. For number 2 I have to reboot as no amount of changes in Display Properties will get me back to my normal 800X600 resolution and 32 bit color depth. My computer is an HP A375C with an Nvidia GeForce 5200 video card and a 17" LCD monitor. Three or four driver upgrades since late last year including the latest to the 91.31 drivers released on 06/23/06 have not resolved this problem. Anyone got any ideas on who to fix this? |
