Default Recording & Alarm Clock Software

Folks:

I am looking for 2 freely available pieces of software. Appreciate any
recommendations based on personal experience.

* Appreciate any recommendations on FREE recording software. Have a 3
day seminar and would like to record at least the audio portion of the
proceedings. RealProducer Basic (version 8.0) worked very well for me in the
past. After several upgrades to V 11.0 this no longer work well on my
system.

* Also looking for alarm clock software. My computer is always-on
anyway. Appreciate some opinions & preferences.

Thanks

There is an established and proven method for alarm calls on a
3 day seminar - your cell phone, just book it with your provider.

Thanks

What exactly do you mean by "Alarm clock" software?
I've written for myself, and provided to several friends. a VB6
tickler program. It contains a calendar which allows you to
post reminders to yourself and the reminders can be one-time,
daily or week days, monthly (same day or same date), or
annually. For near events, like oven timers, it allows you to
enter the number of minutes before the reminder.
This program is also used to specifically launch Hauppauge video
captures and can be used to launch many other programs with or
without a command-line parameter string.
The one or two BUGS I'm aware of I work around rather than fix -
lazy dog that I am!!
Anyone can have it, and the source code for it, totally free of
charge - and, of course, totally free of support as well;-0)
If you have access to Visual Studio 6 or a VB6 compiler, you can
be assured it is free of malicious code - other wise you'd need
to trust me;-0)
